Rights & Rules
These rules apply when you book and stay with Gothenburg Guesthouse.
Booking an B&B accomodation is a contract, Unless special arrangements have been agreed, the following guidelines will apply in accordance with international practice.
A reservation is regarded as binding once it has been confirmed. Confirmation can be given orally or in writing, for example by e-mail. You and Gothenburg Guesthouse are then regarded as having agreed a contract. For information on cancellations, please see the section headed "Cancellations". When making a reservation please quote your name, address, arrival and departure dates.
Limitation of responsbility The B&B host is responsible for the letting of accomodations. Gothenburg Guesthouse acts only as a intermediary between B&B host and the guest, as mandated by the B&B host. If the B&B host should for any reason be unable to let the booked B&B accomodation, Gothenburg Guesthouse has the right to book another equivalent B&B accomodation with another B&B host or offer repayment of the booking fee. Gothenburg Guesthouse will inform the guest about such a situation and the necessary booking alteration. The guest is not entitled to damaged or compensation beside what has been stated here. Gothenburg Guesthouse bears no responsbility for conditions or events that lie outside Gothenburg Guesthouse's control. Neither Gothenburg Guesthouse nor the B&B host bears any liability for the guest or the guests belongings regarding injury, damage or loss. The guest is responsible for his own person and his belongings.

| The number of Gothenburg Guesthouse's B&B accomodations to the prices stated on the website or reservation form. The B&B accomodation is available from 18.00 (arrival day) to 10.00 (departure day) unless a special arrangement has been made with the B&B host. The accomodation price includes a continental breakfast (Tea/Coffee, juice, bread, butter, cheese, marmelade) . The B&B accomodation will be cleaned once a week. If the guest stays longer than a week, the sheets and towels will be changed by the 7th day. | Deposit fee is 25% of the total charge, These charge will be deducted from your final bill. If you cancel your reservation outside the cancellation time limit Gothenburg Guesthouse is entitled to retain the deposit fee |

| The B&B accomodation has to be paid cash in advance upon arrival to the B&B host. In case of extensions, the room rent and our deposit fee will be paid in advance in cash. Vouchers and credit cards are not accepted. | |
| Confirmation | Late Arrival |
| When Gothenburg Guesthouse has recieved the guest's payment of the deposit fee, we send you via email all information about your reservation (name, adress, "how to find your B&B host". At that time, Gothenburg Guesthouse also sends to the B&B host information about the guest and his party. We recommend that the guest confirm directly with the B&B host about 3 days in advance of arrival. | Guests are expected to arrive by 22.00 on the check-in date. Should guest plan to arrive later than 22.00, the guest must contact the host in advance. Otherwise, arrival later than 22.00 may be regarded as a cancellation. In this case, the reserved B&B accomodation may be rented to other guests by the B&B host, and the deposit fee is not repaid. |
| Indefinite Stays | Terms of Cancellation and "No-Shows" |
If you are staying for an indefinite period and extend your stay by a day at a time, you should notify your departure no later than 12.00 on the previous evening, otherwise you will be charged for an extra night's stay. If Gothenburg Guesthouse or B&B host can no longer make the B&B accomodation available to you, it should notify you by no later than 12.00 on the previous evening. |
In the event guest must cancel a reservation, contact Gothenburg Guesthouse first. We will notify the host of the B&B accomodation. For reservation cancelled in writing not later than 14 days before the check-in date, our deposit fee will be repaid minus 200 SEK cancellation fee. For reservations cancelled later than 14 days before the booked arrival date, or the guests not make use of the reservation, our booking fee is not repaid. If the B&B accomodation is not cancelled at the latest at 12.00 the day before arrival date guest is obliged to pay for one night. You are liable for any special costs which Gothenburg Guesthouse or B&B host may incur in connection with your reservation. |

| If you have booked for a given period but depart early you are liable to the same charge as for a late cancellation, i.e. you pay for an extra night's stay in addition to the normal charge for your stay | |
| Right to Retain Luggage | Penalty Interest |
| The B&B host has the legal right to retain a guest's luggage as security against payment. In certain circumstances, defined by special rules, the B&B host has the right to sell the luggage. | If you delay your payment, the B&B host is entitled to claim penalty interest on the payment. |
| Smoking | Food |
| Most B&B accomodations nowadays are non-smoking. If you would like to smoke in your B&B accomodation please check at the time of booking whether smoking is permitted. The B&B hosts is entitled to debit guests for the cost of cleaning fabrics, furnishings etc if the no-smoking rule is infringed. | If you have any special requests regarding food (vegetarian, gluten-free etc), please notify the Gothenburg Guesthouse at the time of booking - it may gives extra cost. | If you have complaints, it is very important you make them on site and at an early stage to your host. Complaints after completed stay will not be accepted or compensated. | The guest is responsible for treating the B&B host with respect, showing reasonable care and courtesy in and about the B&B host, as well as for following the B&B host's rules of conduct and security. |
